Citing EUGene

Citing EUGene

If you use EUGene for your data generation in a publication, we ask that at a minimum you give the version number of EUGene that you employed, and that you use the following citation for EUGene:

Bennett, D. Scott, and Allan Stam. 2000. “EUGene: A Conceptual Manual.” International Interactions 26:179-204. Website:  http://eugenesoftware.org.

This publication is available for view or download here.

EUGene brings together data sets that have been compiled by a large number of scholars in various fields over the past half-century. We ask that all users cite the original data sets as well as EUGene when using data assembled by the program. Full citations for all of EUGene’s component data sets are contained in the bibliography of the program documentation.
